The worst experience ever. They totally ruined our yard. I contracted with them last year so we could get rid of some weeds. Our yard overall was pretty. By the end of the season we had large bare areas in our yard. They were supposed to come out and put out grass seed for us because of all the damage they did. They never came after me calling repeatedly. Absolutely do not prepay and do not let them put on your bank card after each application . I cancelled them and they still came and charged my husbands bank card. Learned not to do this again. Last year they always answered immediately when you called. Now you are lucky to get them after waiting several hours on the line. That tells me something. I have been told if you press the button wanting new service they do answer but not if you are an existing customer. We are having to pay other people to try to fix our lawn. It is along process after this much damage was done. Wish I had read all the reviews before it was too late. Don’t make the same mistake

I'm only on my second application but both times I watched them out the window and they barely sprayed anything, maybe did 20% of my yard at most and skipped all the places that ACTUALLY HAVE WEEDS. Thos time they sat in their truck for a while, sprayed for a minute in the middle of the front yard, skipped the back, and left a long service summary at my door. I will be cancelling and asking for a full refund cause I could do a better job myself.

I am disappointed and won't use true green again, a disconnected company that has too many parts and I was told the" treatment"for my yard was "natural." I LIVE WITH STRONG PRINCIPLES TO NATURE,ORGANIC GARDENING AND TO HELP AND SUPPORT ECOSYSTEMS. I went to work and came home.to find they had sprayed, and when I researched it was round-up. The worst for the soil, bees, my child, our garden,, my dog.I feel violated and angry. I was told lime would be the only thing they put down and that it is harmless. Using toxic bee killing pesticide/fertilizer for "green grass" is so sad to me. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. People need to research end educate themselves on the harmful effects of roundup , or any chemicals fertilizers/pesticides...we have a responsibility to teach our children a better way to sustain this planet... grow gardens not grass...I made a mistake and am so bummed and angry about true greens lack of honesty. They are just another corporation beast!

If I could give -5 stars!!!! Had 4 visits and one time they double charge me. My lawn is 10,000 sq ft. The tech was only doing half of it. Still no results, my neighbor did his own yard and within the same amount of time it’s so much greener then mine. They don’t really do a professional analysis and the sales department don’t know jack. Don’t ever hire them. Find another company or research on doing your own lawn

After 3 years we are cancelling our service with TruGreen.
Their customer service is worthless, 45 minutes to and hour wait time on the phone.
It's mid May and no lawn treatment to date.
No pre-emergent.
No fertilizer
No weed control

Worst service EVER, took our payment in full for yearly service, never showed up, can't get them on phone...oh except if you want to sign up, and then they can't help you except to say we weren't scheduled yet! Meanwhile all our neighbors who had reputable companies had their first lawn applications weeks ago....and I still have a yard of weeds. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

My lawn has been the envy of my neighbor's, I hired TruGreen to keep it that way. I now have weeds throughout, brown patch and who knows what else.
You can't reach customer service, they want you to live chat and then respond with nothing that has to do with your concern. I am beyond dissatisfied and angry.

Fraudulent service and billing. Coming and charging hundreds even after phone AND email cancellation of service. Even coming weekly@$120-150 each! Beware! First off, I had prepaid for a year my moms house, and my house. Never once did I see improvement in the weeds or ants; in-fact, the ants got worse! Fast forward to a few months ago. I get notice it's my last service (thankfully since I prepaid a year and will never do that again with any company). I talk to a rep on the phone and confirm cancelled. After about a week, both houses get serviced (they never had that type of frequency before as it was monthly). I call and email pretty frustrated about cancelling because this service I didn't even want is over $150! (I prepaid $800 for the whole year!). After confirming cancelled, another service weeks later! Now, I have BBB involved... then, a few weeks later, guess what, I get service today and another $150 bill! Please do yourself a favor. Do NOT use this company. They will create tons of fake debt, which lord knows what they're planning to do. I am submitting complaints now to the attorney general, and the Florida and Pinellas DBPR licensing board.

In late spring, I contracted TruGreen for 2020 lawncare on my smallish home plot. I was able to get a full year price of $306.07, paid in April 2020 via a Visa credit card. The treatments ensued but no change in the look of the lawn was evident. I game them some time but then called and they said they'd come out until it was right. There were appointments kept and some not kept by late spring and summer. The lawn did not improve and I emailed them several pictures that weeds had now taken over. I had complained to no avail. Eventually I got an email notifying me that my lawn could not be cured of weeds due to new regulations in Maryland. I told them in that case there's no need to sell me lawn care if indeed you can't actually fix anything. They said that was all they could do and they guarantee service, not fixing the lawn and would not process a refund. I called local TruGreen and they said they'd never heard of anything that wouldn't allow them not to fix my weed problem. I said hopefully they could come out. I then emailed their main office again (you can't call them – it's a 3 hour hold and along the way they hang up) to tell them what I learned from their local office and that they either need to fix the lawn problem or refund the money. They did neither and stopped treatment altogether. I then told my credit card company to refuse payment as they refused service. The credit card company took up the matter. After that – this now stretched into early fall – TruGreen, possibly pressured by the credit card company, notified me that a refund was being processed and sure enough they credited me the full $306.07. Just a day after that, also around Oct. 10, I noticed that they charged me $179.53. I inquired and they said that the refund was a mistake and that the services already done amounted to $179.53 and are valid. I told them they had no right to charge my card – that this was totally unauthorized and informed my credit card company who took care of the matter.
In March 2021, I received a phone call on my answering machine that TruGreen was looking to collect $306.07 and then in the mail in early April I received a collection notice from IC System / TrueGreen Processing Center called ‘Valid Collection' stating that $306.07 was due. I called them – but the wait was 3 hours, so instead I sent them an email that this was an invalid collection and that they had a week to inform me of that error. They did not and leave me no choice but to pursue this further herewith.
This is a fraudulent company using dirty business practices.

My yard use to be bright, fresh, and alive. Family get togethers with friends and family. That's until true green came along. During dry June and July weather. They kept over spraying weed killer applications instead of delicately caring for her during stress. I have made a terrible mistake. Two years of give them a chance to care for the environment and they dropped a bomb on it. Hiroshima"d my baby. Truly a nightmare of a company with endless calls for additional treatments and management did everything to disregard my complaints. They where intrusive beyond believe and could not connect the piece. No coordination between team members. One hand didn't know what the other was doing. Don't get yourself involved. It's like a cat you feed and never goes away.

Absolutely useless. Do not waste your money.

Called in Truegreen Gloucester to improve my lawn. After first treatment saw a dramatic improvement in lawn and it now looks fantastic. I have no hesitation in recommending Truegreen Gloucester.
